Frequently Asked Questions

Before You Decide

The source material can be fur, hair, or in some cases the animal’s ashes – the requirement is that they contain carbon. If you no longer have any of these materials (e.g. the fur was thrown away and the animal underwent a collective cremation without the ashes being collected), unfortunately there is nothing to create a diamond from. If you’re unsure whether what remains (e.g. fur from clothing, a bed, or a brush) is suitable, contact us and we’ll assess it individually.

Yes. Creating a diamond requires a few grams of fur – for short-haired breeds, collecting the sample may take a little more time and care, but short hair itself is not an obstacle.

No. Collecting the sample involves gently brushing out or trimming a small amount of fur – it is a painless and safe procedure that you can perform yourself at home using the kit you receive from us, without a vet or any invasive procedures.

Each diamond is created from an individually labelled sample assigned to a specific animal. Each pet requires a separate fur-collection kit and a separate order. Contact us if you are planning an order for several animals – we will arrange the details and possible terms for a larger number of orders.

No – a diamond from pet fur requires physical source material containing carbon that comes from your pet. Without fur or ashes we are unable to create a diamond, because it is precisely the authenticity of the material’s origin that constitutes the essence and value of this keepsake.

Sample Collection and Logistics

After ordering the kit, you receive a set of materials and detailed written instructions that let you collect the sample yourself, safely – without needing to visit us or involve a specialist. The whole process at home usually takes a few to several minutes.

Every sample is labelled and assigned to a specific order and animal from the moment it is sent, which eliminates any mix-up.

Yes, every order and every sample is treated individually and confidentially – the material from your animal is never combined with samples from other clients at any stage of the process.

Yes, we serve clients throughout Poland. We send the fur-collection kit by post, so you can prepare the sample at home regardless of where you live and send it back to us without needing to visit us in person in Warsaw.

The Process and Timeline

The whole process always takes from 3 to 5 months, regardless of the chosen size, colour, or cut of the diamond. It includes extracting the carbon from the sample, crystallisation in laboratory conditions, cutting, and certification.

Transforming the carbon obtained from an animal’s fur into a diamond requires a precise crystallisation process in laboratory conditions that reproduce the natural formation of a diamond, followed by cutting and certification by an independent gemological institute (IGI). This time cannot be shortened without losing the quality and authenticity of the stone.

Authenticity and Quality

It is a real lab-grown (cultivated) diamond, not an imitation – it has the identical crystal structure, hardness, and optical properties as a diamond mined from the earth. The only difference concerns the origin of the carbon it was created from.

Every sample is individually labelled and processed separately, and each order includes an Animae certificate documenting that the diamond originates from the material provided by the specific client, alongside an independent IGI certificate confirming the parameters of the stone itself.

The IGI (International Gemological Institute) certificate is an independent gemological document specifying the carat weight, colour, clarity, and cut of the diamond, confirming its authenticity and jewellery value – independently of the information about the material’s origin.

The natural, unmodified colour of a diamond created from animal fur is a warm golden-orange hue, independent of the colour of the source fur. You can also choose one of the modified colours: white, light blue, light pink, or light green.

Pricing, Payment, and After Purchase

The price starts at 9,990 PLN and depends on the size of the stone, the colour, the cut, and the chosen jewellery setting. The cost of the fur-collection kit (500 PLN) is fully deducted from the value of the final order.

As a stone, a diamond is very hard and scratch-resistant, so care is no different from typical jewellery with a natural diamond – periodic cleaning and storing it separately from other jewellery to avoid scratching the setting is enough.
